New Attayampatty

Hi Friends

So much time/Years passed and our Village/City has Changed a lot....

East or West Our Attayampatty is still the best......

There are some improvements.....

1.Many youngsters got higher education,
2.Girls excel in education than boys  ...Unfortunately our Govt.Boys School is lagging behind...MNSGHSS
3.Improvement in Roads, Buildings etc
4.New Films are getting released in Our Theaters

and

There are some shortcomings also.........

1. The old problem of sewage water disposal/Blockage of sewage water
2. The handlooms and Co-operative societies are not performing well
3.The Power loom industry is not giving more income than anticipated
4. Crowded buses to Salem and Erode direction (The bus conductors will not allow us to board before seats to Tiuchengodu or Salem get occupied by others....)
5.The boys from GBHSS used to Excel in Kabbadi/KoKo etc now it is not upto the Mark
6.Attayampatty is famous for its "Murukku" so many people used to depend on the business for their livelihood.... but it has slowly last its charm.......

Many of our Boys/Girls who are working in big cities...... often post their address as " from Salem"........They are often afraid /ashamed? to mention that they are from Attayampatty.....Becz peer group often kidding that they are from a patty....

But we should be proud that We are from this lovely place....

If may of us starts mentioning that we are from Attayampatty Our Village will get more popular.....

Come on.........

These are only few.....

I request all of you to share your views.....

I would like to clarify some points, Swami Gnanda is no more, might have expired before 1970's but his followers are still making some pooja and other rituals in the Ashram. when I was young there used to be "Annadhanam" during "Chitrapournami". It is being maintained by few old people. The ashram is situated near Post office. From post office move towards the Murugan temple side, there is no name board, in fact it is adjacent to the Murugan temple.
